The Short Guide: Da Lat, Vietnam 🌲☕
Khem’s Vibe Check: The Alps of Vietnam, but with better coffee and zero pretension.
Day 1: High-Altitude Caffeine & Secret Mazes
- Morning Fuel: Still Cafe. This isn’t just a coffee shop; it’s an aesthetic Japanese-style village hidden in an alley. Grab a flat white and enjoy the quiet.
- The Afternoon Walk: Dalat Train Villa. A colonial-style villa near old train tracks. It’s peaceful, has great vibes, and feels like stepping back in history.
- The Evening Adventure: Maze Bar (100 Roofs). A bar designed like a literal labyrinth. You’ll have to navigate through caves and weird structures. Pure Da Lat.
Day 2: Pine Forests & Hidden Waters
- Morning Drive: Tuyen Lam Lake. Skip the city lake; this is where the real beauty is. Drive through the pine forests until you find a quiet spot.
- The Coffee Pilgrimage: K’Ho Coffee. Located at the foot of Lang Biang mountain. Run by the local community. Ethical and delicious.
- Sunset Chill: Tiệm Cà Phê Túi Mơ To. A greenhouse-style cafe filled with daisies. Best sunset view in the valley.
Khem’s Pro-Tip:
The weather here is moody. It can be sunny at 10 AM and raining at 2 PM. Always keep a light raincoat in your scooter seat and don’t forget to try the “Banh Mi Xiu Mai” (meatball soup) for breakfast.
